Vault: Partners in Crime
Welcome to the world’s most difficult vault; a vault that can only be unlocked with dice. In this solitaire game, you play as a thief trying to crack the vault. With 12 locks, one of which will close every round, the pressure is high for you to steal as many gemstones as you can.
Put your roll-and-write skills to the test as you attempt to roll and cross off numbers fast enough to mark off a row or column before you run out of time. The clever thing here is that there are locks on the board, and each round one of them will close for good - if you didn’t get those gems, you won’t score them this game. You need to plan ahead for upcoming turns as well as try to figure out if you can snag a gem at the last minute, as you’ll be adding and/or subtracting die values to help you hit the numbers required on these squares. This entry brings about three expansions to go with your base game, opening up cooperative play via A Pair of Thieves, cards to recruit a team in Accomplices, and additional targets to try and gain along the way via Lockboxes. If you enjoy taking a great game and adding in more, you won’t want to miss out on this.
Dungeon Pages Adventures: Elor, Fierce Gladiator
Elor earned his freedom from the fighting pits through a dominant performance. Forged in the arena, he now brings that ferocity to the enemies of the Overland.
There’s so much to talk about on these, and no way to really do any of it justice in a concise manner. Whether you look at his Relics, such as the Bestiary Journal (Reduce a monster defense by 1 this turn), his Elemental abilities (adding or subtracting from dice), his side quests (why not have a big rhino try to Tip Toe?), or the monsters he’ll face (the Soul Feaster boosts its damage after it attacks), there’s just so much that you’re going to have to just pick this up in order to see and enjoy all of the delightful contents of this continuing monthly adventure.
Dangerous Space: Will Tensin, Commandeer Mission
Will, the more brash of the Tensin brothers, is happy to dive blind for the sheer surprise and chaos that ensues. Deathwish?
Here’s another mission that is a tough one for anyone who has limited ways to manipulate dice, since you not only need to mark the levers but also to have matching numbers on the Ship Interface spaces at the end. Thankfully, Will can do a little of that with his Risk Taker skill, but that only allows bumps of dice so it may be of limited use. However, you will almost certainly trigger it several times, since it happens when marking Dangerous Spaces along the way. Can you have him run the gauntlet and commandeer the ship?

Game of the Week: Paper Putt: The First Nine on sale for just $2!
Get ready to roll some dice and play some mini-golf! From the creative mind behind Paper Pinball comes the next roll-and-write version of a favorite pastime for many of us! Use the dice to move along the path as you try to get to the end of each of the nine holes in the fewest strokes possible. With plenty of things to consider, including needing the sum of the numbers to be a certain value (over or under, and sometimes equal to), or for it to be even or odd to go down a certain route, there are a lot of little decisions to make on the course as you enjoy the themed holes. Grab your putter pencil and start swinging.

Skulls of Sedlec: Ultimate Champions
This one requires both this expansion and the Champions expansion in order to make use of it, but I can vouch for the Champions being a worthwhile expansion to integrate. This one comes with just a single card, but a really powerful one when you hit more than a champion or two that comes out during the game - these score points based on connected Champions, which is boosted by 2 since these Ultimate Champions are connected to each other.
Skulls of Sedlec: Jester
Like the above expansion, this one comes with just a single card that contains a pair of Jesters on it. These cards are the ultimate in flexibility, providing just a point each, but allowing you to later place a card in their location and moving the Jester to a new spot in the structure. For a game where you have to make decisions early with imperfect information, locking in a flexible spot in case you run into another Lover skull, etc. later on can be a huge game-changer.
