The Fate Experiment
In The Fate Experiment, you will play Games. Each Game lasts about two or three minutes. If you lose too many Games, you are eliminated from the Experiment. Your goal is to be the last subject remaining. Who is fated to lose? Who will lie and betray to win at any cost? And who, least likely, will win by other means?
A fascinating game experience here, you’re going to want a large group and will watch as it slowly (or quickly!) dwindles down in size with each short game that comes along. The last player in will win, and when down to only two players the deck gets even smaller for suitable 2-player cards to be used in the gameplay. The game’s designer wanted to accomplish quick and simple rules, letting the game flow fast and furious so even with the eliminations, there won’t be a ton of waiting around for the next chance to jump in and join on the fun.
Gnome Pack #1
Many folks have been asking for a way to get previously released promo cards for many games in the Grey Gnome Library. Prior to the release of this Promo Pack, you would have had to buy particular games in order to get them, that perhaps you had no interest in purchasing. Now you can get them all in one place. BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE... Not only does this Promo Pack include all of those older cards, but it also includes an astounding 50+ all-new promo cards for all of our most popular solo games.
You want promos? You’ve got promos galore here to add to great games like Iron Helm, Gate, Tin Helm, Desolate, and more. This is something that I think we all wish publishers would do more often, because we all know they will never STOP making promo cards to help drive that FOMO we all get in the hobby. So whether you are loading up on cards for the games you love, or using this as a launching point to discover new games you’re going to fall in love with, be sure to check this one out!
GRIMLORE Case File #14: Hellen Wellshire, Librarian
Hellen Wellshire, 34, an antiquarian librarian in Arkham, discovers an unmarked journal describing the haunting of a colonial house reputed for inexplicable deaths. Drawn by her academic curiosity, she investigates and learns of an entity rumored to embody unbridled chaos. Exploring the house at twilight, Hellen encounters disorienting phenomena, and the veil between dimensions weakens. The creature, bound to cryptic runes in the house’s cellar, seeks release. Armed with arcane tools and wit, Hellen must decipher the journal’s riddles while battling the entity’s growing influence. The final confrontation pits Hellen’s determination against the entity’s attempt to merge its world with ours.
Here’s our newest Grimlore installment, and this one is sure to be another delight. If you enjoy these weekly wording adventures, then you already know you don’t want to miss this one. If you are yet to try it, there’s never a bad time to jump in and give it a shot! With relatively simple rules, you’ll be able to dive right into the fun. The opponents this week cause all sorts of havoc on our hero, as they do extra effects while there’s still any of the weaker enemy type is still on the map. So you’re going to either want to do a LOT of killing fast, or rush toward your boss to take it out before it can make you lose all of your sanity…
Dangerous Space: P2-777, Diffuse Mission
P2-777 no longer endures the old nicknames the humans gave him. He’s earned his preferred moniker of Pete.
This one might be a bit of a challenge this week! Pete’s Combat Expert skill will help you exactly twice if you need it, as there’s two spots diagonal to a threat which are part of the Diffusing mission. And for that mission, you are trying to not only mark only even numbers, but also if you mark a 1 or 2 in the same column or row as an active bomb it’ll explode. Some characters are better with die mitigation, but this should be a nice challenge for those who enjoy trying to come up with creative solutions.
Power Creep: Tank, City Center, 2099
Scarcity has pushed settlers to invent and improvise to meet their needs…and to protect them!
Nasty ninjas! You’re going to hate them with a passion, as you watch your health deplete at a quite rapid rate in this scenario. Why, you may ask? Those ninjas reroll evil dice that don’t trigger them to activate, meaning they get even more chances to deal you damage. You’re probably going to want to get some Armor on Tank as quickly as possible, allowing you to slow the bleeding from the multitude of strikes coming your way…

Game of the Week: Stellar Leap on sale for just $7!
Explore the galaxy in Stellar Leap! Take on the role of an alien species as you discover new planets and complete missions in this family-friendly space exploration game. Become the most prestigous alien species in the galaxy by completing missions, discovering new planets, increasing population, and fulfilling your hidden trait’s objective.
It feels like ages ago when I first saw tidbits of this game being made and shared by Weird Giraffe Games, and I remember being extremely excited about the game. So much so that I printed off the files and helped playtest the solo mode for the game, offering some suggestions. And this game is really fun, playable 1-6 with dice mitigation, resource gathering/conversion, objectives to accomplish, combat with other players, and more. If you only try one Weird Giraffe title, it would be this one (or the recently featured Fire in the Library, as both are stellar games).

Casinopolis
Ka-ching! Ka-ching! The sound of slot machines paying out their lucky winners are everywhere. Build up the central strip with popular themed casinos tot urn this town into a proper gambler’s haven.
Fans of the -Opolis series of games will find a lot of familiar elements in here, but with the major edition coming in the form of The Strip - your longest road. That strip dictates what scores for the blocks in your Casino layout, as well as lets you score any connected identical Slot icons of 3 or more within that strip. You always want to build fewer, longer roads in the -Opolis games, but this one puts an even stronger emphasis/incentive in there. With hundreds of scoring condition possibilities, you’ll get a TON or play value whether playing solo or as a cooperative group game, placing cards out to build the best casino you can.
Casinopolis: Place Your Bets Expansion
You’ve got an opportunity to build the biggest and best casino this city’s ever seen. Take a chance on our own skill and hopefully it’ll pay off!
An interesting little expansion, as two cards mix in with your deck like normal, and two of them will get tucked under your highest and lowest scoring card to add some extra conditions that you’ll want to try and meet as you work your way through the game. These can range for the number of icons in a jackpot, to the length of your strip, and more. If you already love the -Opolis variability, this expansion is an easy add to elevate the things to consider and juggle while maximizing your point values.
