In Volatile Vintage, you are French stewards building up vineyards in competition with each other to produce the most wine barrels, while the chaos of the Revolution is starting to break out around you. You will play through 24 quick rounds. In each round, two cards are drawn and all players simultaneously choose between options of beneficial additions to their vineyard, or resolve the harmful effects of a mob attack when certain cards are drawn. As the game proceeds, you will increase your efficacy per round, strengthen your defenses against mob attacks, unlock special abilities through accords with local villages, and create wine barrels. The player with the most wine barrels at the end of the game is the winner!
Each game can play out out wildly different from the next: the order and pairings of cards revealed through each round will create continually unique options and challenges, while the eight options for Accords allow a variety of ways to build your engine and score Wine Barrels!
