Our first PNP Arcade original game is coming to Kickstarter on Black Friday. Dungeon Pages is a PNP only, solo tactical, roll & write game of dungeon delving and monster battling. Just $4. It's designed by Jason Greeno and Jason Tagmire and introduces a variable system with multiple characters that can be combined with any dungeon for replayability. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jasongreeno/dungeon-pages
It's New Game Friday! David Wiley (Cardboard Clash) is here to tell us about the new games.
Here’s what is new this week:
- Old Town Road
- 3 Lands or King
- The Final Lightyear: Delta Sector

Old Town Road
Old Town Road is an in-hand solitaire card game following your encounters with outlaws along the infamous road leading to Old Town. Participate in various events along the route in the best sequence possible to score 3-card poker hands once you’ve reached town.
I love the innovation that games have taken on with the ability to play them without the need for a table. In this one, you’re having shootouts and robberies with the characters that appear, and depending on the card being used and the one getting targeted, there are things that can happen such as Outlaws becoming Wanted or Lawmen gaining Moneybags. The game lasts until you read Old Town, at which point only the cards still in hand can be completed, and in addition to that you’re also trying to line cards up consecutively for the best possible poker hands. If you enjoy innovative solo game designs that have layers of things to consider as you play, you probably want to check this one out.
3 Lands or King
Two Houses against each other, one kingdom to conquer! Either conquer 3 lands, or become King.
Another thing I love is when a designer takes something that feels familiar and spins it on its head. You’ll find that here in 3 Lands or King, where two players go head-to-head in a series of up to 5 different battles. The battles are played out with your army pieces, being added one at a time onto the land on the 3x3 grid. If both sides have 3 armies out and no one has managed to get 3 in a row yet, then you take turns moving the pieces and each one moves in an unique way based on its type. Depending on how well you win, you might win outright by scoring enough points by taking 2 lands, or else the player who gets a 3rd land victory will emerge victorious in this little game.
The Final Lightyear: Delta Sector
This kit adds a new map, new crew and a new set of enemies, but instead of a new boss, the kit brings a Spaceport postcard that introduces longer form campaign play.
You'll place the spaceport between two sector maps and play two full games, with a little extra trouble in-between. The enemies and boss in the second sector are boosted, but you can use actions in the first sector to weaken them. It's an all new type of balance, looking toward the long game
If you haven’t tried The Final Light-Year, then you’re in for a real treat. I haven’t had as much fun with a postcard game since Chain Mail a few years ago, and this one is less about manipulating character cubes as it is about dogfighting in space. The best part of this expansion is the addition of making a light campaign, which is absolutely going to revolutionize the experience and add new layers of decision in the early battles. If you want an expandable solitaire experience, then you definitely should consider picking these up in anticipation of being able to grab a lot of content for the one game in the future.

Game of the Week: Night Class Collection on sale for $5!
Dr. Killian Switch, the world-renowned engineer, had been missing for days, before returning with an army of robots. His demands were short and dark - surrender the city to his control or face annihilation at the hands of his minions. Well, former teacher or no, this professor needs to be dismissed. Now hopefully you can stop this madman, because a failing grade is the least of your concerns.
If you recall, I’ve already pronounced myself a fan of the Night Class series of roll and writes (a rare feat, as roll-and-writes remain far from my preferred wheelhouse of game). I love how each of these three episodes share common traits, yet feel different from each other. And let’s face it, the Superhero theme is something that gets me excited. So whether you’re already a fan of the series or a newcomer, this is a great chance to grab each of these 1-page PNPs and enjoy the simple yet challenging experience of Night Class.
