Roll 4 Rum Core Set

Roll 4 Rum is a thrilling print & play pirate adventure game where 1-99 players navigate treacherous waters, battle sea monsters, and search for hidden treasures! Grab your favorite sailor’s pens, then roll three dice each turn, and assign them to different actions, and strategize your way through varied maps filled with unique challenges.

I love a roll-and-write game where you roll multiple dice, and have to put each one to use in a different way. Those sorts of decisions are exciting and keep the game interesting, as sometimes you’ll have to decide whether it is worth getting a far worse action in one area just to get that perfect number on one other action. This has a simple premise of sailing and exploring, adding crew and trying to be efficient in your route of travel. With several maps of content to explore, this game promises to provide a good amount of entertainment.

Vitreum

You and your fellow players become stained glass glaziers. Your job is to create the most beautiful piece of art from glass. During the game you will try to create the best stained glass for your benefactor. He will give you twelve guidelines, upon which he will judge you. It's up to you, how well you will follow these guidelines. Good luck!

Make use of the dice rolled each round to have access to specific colors, marking in new pieces with those colors across multiple window panes. The catch comes in needing to put it adjacent to something already in one of the windows, which is compounded by each window giving bonus points for certain colors, or colors being next to a specific color, and lines of a color. That all opens up new ways to consider placement of your stained glass each round, juggling as best you can until you can get the exact roll you needed for the right colors.

GRIMLORE Profane Truths: Core Case Files

GRIMLORE Profane Truths is an episodical print-and-play word-finding and dice-manipulation game with role-playing aspects. In every episode (or case file), you try to fill several scenarios with letters to form dictionary words to progress in the story and to defeat your opponents. As you progress, the character that you represent gains more knowledge and equipment to help them in their case.

A fascinating little game which promises to continue to grow over the course of the coming months. You get special hints for puzzles, which might help solve things for the secret words, but all you need to do in the game is form real words, regardless of what they are, in order to play the game. That might sound easy, but you have to manage how to juggle those letters you earn via rolls each round, taking out threats as you try to complete each case file.

Anything But Small Talk!

Anything But Small Talk! Isn’t a game you sit down just to play. Think of it more as an accompaniment to game Night or a dinner party. It’s something that can be played and experienced throughout the night; encouraging conversation & getting to know each other.

An interesting little game, this can be a great way to fill the time while waiting on members of a group to arrive, or another table to wrap up a game before picking the next game during a game night. With fairly simple rules, this could be played just as a way to pass the time and get to know others, or as a competitive game to see who the best listener at the table is. For those of us, like me, who really struggle with making small talk, it might be a relief to have some direction on the flow of conversation!

Skyline

Skyline is a cooperative puzzle game for 1-4 players. Players work together to construct buildings so that the skyline of their shared city matches the skyline arrangement shown on each of their cards.

This is one which sounds fairly easy in concept, but will prove quite challenging in execution. You’re sitting around the different sides of the structure being built, trying to get it so all four sides match a specific card per side. Easy, right? Not at all, as those colors might get placed to help one, but moves another player’s goal further away. Work together, and do it efficiently, and you might just get yourself a high score. With a variety of Levels to play, you’ll have plenty of challenges to overcome at any player count.

Power Creep: Scarab, Uptown 2090

In 2090, the raiders have pressed the settlers to the max. These resource excursions are more important than ever.

Scarab is here to kick off our new year with the brand-new weekly adventure game: Power Creep. The premise is simple enough: complete all our complexes and defeat all Leaders within them to be successful. The Threats in here are both nasty, dropping their Trigger value when you roll low on Evil Dice when they activate. The Creep track can be painful, too, making you lose health as well as having a Radiation Check spot that could do a ton of damage if you’re really unlucky. Thankfully, Scarab can craft some helpful mitigation items, like the Armor and the Radiation Suit to help keep those things in balance.

Dangerous Space: Karly, Deliver Mission

Karly is cutting for the big payday. The one score that sets her up for life. If it doesn’t kill her first.

Kicking off the new year is a new style of mission for an old favorite in the game: Karly. This mission requires you to Deliver the Kit, which sounds simple enough until you consider that, while holding the kit, you take an extra damage every turn where you get damaged. Sure, you can assign some damage to the kit instead, but if it gets destroyed you’ll lose. And that Vicious Psychic could absolutely wreck you if you have low rolls, damaging you if you need to reduce a die below 1…

Game of the Week: Lazy Susan now only $3!

In a lively Chinese restaurant, food enthusiasts compete to grab the tastiest dishes from the spinning Lazy Susan table. Each card is a delicious dish - from noodles to dim sum to roasted meats. Be quick, or your favorite dish will spin out of reach!

A fun little game where the lazy susan spins each round to determine which action each player gets to take, whether swapping food, stealing from someone else’s plate, or grabbing food from the table. Maneuver your timing well in order to gain Food Enthusiast cards, which are the timer of the game’s ending. With some good planning, you’ll be on your way to indulging in some excellent food to earn the victory.

Hyperstar Run Kickstarter Preview

You grab the well-worn controller and load your latest save. This is it: the final level. With only 4 runs left to escape the Hyperstar spacebase and beat the game, you better get moving.

The latest Button Shy Kickstarter title is another in their Simply Solo series, and this one seeks to channel the nostalgia of playing platformer games on repeat to try and overcome a challenging level. The coolest parts of this game come from two mechanics: Press and Combos. The Press allows you to use previously-defeated card in the level for its button in the corner, helping supplement your hand. The Combos are even cooler, with lines running from an enemy off the card and, if the lines align on the next card there’ll be just a single button needed to press to advance past that card. Nothing is more satisfying than pulling off some wicked combos! You definitely won’t want to miss this one!
